What's the cure?

Over the phone, Her brittle voice had this to say,
I am okay now. In some time, I'll be alright.
A perfect response to disconnect the call & give her some time. But I refused, not that I wanted to interrogate rather promise a comforting conversation.
I could sense emotions bleeding through her voice & words tumbling. She was hiding under a blanket of silence like a little kid with no hope. And to leave her as such would be a sin.
I knew it was the time for me;
Dear, I know you are hurt deep. I know you are going through one of the worst days of your life. Do you feel it's the end of the road?
Sheer Silence on both ends.
As she cleared her voice, I thought she was ready for a conversation. But it didn't happen, instead, she said,
I can't explain nor would you understand.
On the other side. I was broken. I was feeble.
My emotions took control. My heart whispered if it's not you then who could save her? You are the only hope, so don't give up.
I replied,
Maybe you are right, I may not be the one who could pull you out of this or provide you a solution. And I am no doctor to do that. But...could you just give me two minutes?
And she said Yes.
For the first 45 secs, I never spoke a word neither did she. And when it was approaching close a minute she yelled Are you going to speak or not???
It's just a matter of 45 secs and you couldn't resist. And think of me who hasn't heard anything from you since this morning. Do you know how hard it is to digest that silence of yours? I had no idea about what you were going through. Why do you even think that a few random texts could ease my pain while you were suffering on the other side?
I know you never wanted it to be like this but I am broken. And when the love of your life is filled with tears deep inside, I can't just walk away with the cliche don't worry it'll be alright.
So if you feel like crying out loud, do that. If you would want to unfold the pain, I am here on the other side. And if any of these don't work out, then I'll drop by at your place to share a cup of coffee & a comforting hug. May be that would help you.
She replied: You know what - I now know that love is the best cure for any pain.
